3-Phase Power Solutions Inverter-Variable Frequency Drives
An Inverter converts DC to variable frequency AC. Most of the inverters of today use a pulse-width modulation, because it simulates a sine ware of the desired output frequency. The high speed switching of a pulse-width-modulation inverter results in less waveform distortion, which causes lower harmonic losses. How Does an Inverter Work?
